 Aracus AAA-Alias

iChrom_Product_Aracus

The amino acid analyzer ARACUS with its modular concept is the ideal instrument for the analysis of amino acids in research, quality control and in the clinical laboratory. It combines innovative technologies with the classical routine analysis of amino acids by the post- column derivatization using ninhydrin.

System Components

Alias™

Alias_1ALIAS™ is a generic autosampler for HPLC and LC-MS using state-of-the-art injection technology with fast injection and wash cycles.

Central Unit

CentralUnitThe central unit is comprised of buffer selection valves, degassing micro vacuum chambers, and innovative pump technology which allows constant mixing of eluent and reagent lines at the same time.  Also inside are two maintenance free photometers at 570 nm and 440 nm.

Eluent Box

EluentBoxThe eluent rack contains 6 glass bottles. The fluid volume of each bottle is actively monitored during operation.

Specifications

The amino acid analyzer ARACUS with its modular concept is the ideal instrument for the analysis of amino acids in research, quality control and in the clinical laboratory.  It combines innovative technologies with the classical routine analysis of amino acids by the post- column derivatization using ninhydrin.  The ARACUS performs day in and day out producing results with the highest precision, reproducibility and accuracy.

Innovative chemistry

  • Ready-to-use eluent and reagent kits
  • Kits are produced under standardized procedures, tested and certified before shipping to the customer
  • Each kit contains the necessary amount for 500 or 1000 analysis runs

Operational Control

  • User friendly, self-explaining software iControl
  • Allows user to correlate new samples when the instrument is analyzing another
  • Displays various instrument parameters during analysis
  • Built in alarms to notify when bottles have reached a minimum volume
  • Operation parameters and events of each sample are documented in a log-File

Data Acquisition and Handling

  • aminoPeak records simultaneously 2 analogue channels (570 nm, 440nm).
  • Internal data banks allows for fast peak identification
  • Quantitation can be performed with internal or external standards, dilution and/or multiplication factors.
  • Comparison on several analysis runs can be done with compiler program

Sample Analysis

  • Physiological amino acids: Analysis of free amino acids in biological and medical applications (serum, plasma, urine, culture media) or food
  • Proteinogenic amino acids: Analysis of proteins, peptides, feedstuff or nutrition after hydrolysis
  • Specific amino acids: PKU or homocysteine are two examples of applications with dedicated short run programs

The amino acid analyzer ARACUS can be configured for your laboratory needs. A manual injector or autosampler (for higher throughput) can be connected to the eluent and analyzer units depending on your sample capacity. You also have the choice of which ready-to-use kit (physiological or hydrolysate) to be included as part of the installation package.
